TRAVELING IN TELGARD
(Weather & Seasons)

KORRESH The weather is relatively mild in Korresh for the majority of the year. It rarely snows in the Winter and the Summers are sweet and balmy. The Spring rains can sometimes lead to flooding upon the plains and wind storms occasionally ravage the open areas in the Fall. The wind storms are sometimes given names, especially the more rare twisters. Occasionally, the plains are set afire by lightning and when accompanied by a wind storm, great patches of scorched earth mar the uniformity of the wide grasslands until the new growth rises from the ashes. For the most part, however, the extremes pass Korresh by, leaving the more harsh conditions to the other lands of Telgard.
TAHNN Fall and Winter pass by Tahnn completely. Summer bakes the land with a vengeance, especially the upper regions. Spring in the desert Kingdom is a spectacular sight. After a short period of rain over the sparse grasslands, the land bursts into a colorful display of renewed life. It lasts only a week at the most, but it is all the more impressive for its brevity. The lower part of Tahnn, however, is more like the lands of Korresh with respect to the seasons and weather patterns.

For the most part, the weather is dry. It is hot during the day and cold at night. The most dangerous weather is experienced during the occasional sand storm. Sand scours at the flesh and can suffocate or blind. The wise learn to read the signs and seek shelter during such times.

GARR In the mountainous terrain of Garr, it's all a matter of degree. In the high peaks, snow remains year round while the low lands enjoy some respite during the Summer months. It is never quite warm in Garr, but it is certainly more enjoyable when the wind is calm which is most common during the Spring months. Unfortunately, the higher one climbs, the more aggressive the weather becomes. Only hardy folk do well against the elements, here. Of course most of the civilized folk in this Kingdom live underground where weather and seasons have no meaning.
LIRYNN Spring is a glorious time in Lirynn. The air is alive with light-winged insects and the trees are adorned with new growth. Wildflowers put on a colorful and aromatic show while the creatures of the forest bring new life to the land. Summer matures the young of spring and is a time of comfortable warmth. Fall brings winds which stir high in the trees to be followed by the refreshing chill of Winter. There is no defined rainy season in Lirynn. Instead, it rains all year long, but rarely for very long. It never snows except every once in a while atop the Barrier Mountains.
MIRG There is no Winter or Fall in Mirg. Year round it is tepid-warm, humid, and uncomfortable. The thick air hardly stirs in Mirg. Summer is perhaps the worst due to the thick, high rise in humidity. So, it is all a matter of bad or worse.
