Inner Maston -
Hello all, this is Jacco Namori checking in
for your report on Inner Maston!
Beginning with less serious news, and hopefully
getting a chuckle from one or two, a rather... shall we say... portly artist
is in the process of being evicted from home at the time this report is
being written. While there was some question as to him even being able
to fit through the door it was rapidly determined that he could... and
that he should! Our good friend Snog had better hope this trend doesn't
catch on in Mirg or he could find himself thrown out onto the street!
On to somewhat serious news, at least for
those of us who enjoy wearing Red. The guards on the Red Avenue have been
suprisingly lazy as of late... escorting people away rather than beating
them red. For those that don't know the Red Avenue is a well travelled
street where all must wear red by imperial decree or be beaten until the
sheer amount of blood covers the requirement for them. Of course we shouldn't
expect any less (or any more for that matter) from the lazy and corrupt
guards of the Inner City. I suppose beating an impertinent Misharr who
cant even finish a conversation is a bit too much for you guards eh?
In other news a Clever and daring thief managed
to escape to Outer Maston after a raid on a local jewelers shop... a raid
that left quite a lot of gore and blood. I have to admire thieves, we are
both in the business of taking money from those more foolish than ourselves
after all. I can only wish this one luck, and hope that he and I can meet
some day.
Last... But by no means least. A mad, but
decidedly clever, goblin has taken up residence in the inner city and began
the process of making friends with an even more insane mage. Setting up
residence in a hidden place in the city only to be plagued by visions of
the future that told him he must find the clutch. Naturally he will be
leaving soon... heading for Calio on a ship he conned a very charming red
order member into buying for him.
That goblin is me.
This is a report on Inner Maston, but it is
also a fond farewell. Maston, I will miss you, I can only hope that both
of us are still standing when I return!

Kel -
Things seem to be picking up in the fair
Village of Kel.
The baron Konstantine Severs is still missing
in the mist surrounding the village, but miraculously two survivors have
returned to tell their tales. At the same time a few hardy souls have decided
to bring the sorcerer behind the mist to his/her knees, they are being
assisted actively by the barony of Kel. The expedition will be led by our
own Sir Avren, the Baron’s right-hand man, who has returned with some news
of the Baron.
The posse into the mist has began to form
up, There are a couple of mercenaries, a knight and a priest heading into
the mist. More adventurers are expected to join them. Sheriff Strand, brother
to the Baron, has promised Lady Hope, currently in charge of Kel, that
he will send guards along with the expeditionary force.
Near the docks, a rabble of sailors is being
led by a WOMAN. Yes, that's right a woman is leading a charge towards the
fighting ship Solifury, formerly owned by Captain Aldun of this village,
but who unfortunately is trying to drown his memories in tankards of beer.
Earlier in the day a daredevil raid on the ship produced what the Captain
Aldun was lacking. The ship's ownership papers have been retrieved by a
brave, courageous pair of young men. We are proud to state that one of
them belongs to our village. Both of them are very young of age, hence
they should be and will be commended by the Council of Kel, in due course
of time.
The rabble is mostly made up of Sailors, out
of work, due to closing of the docks. The docks have been closed as is
well known to many. The leviathan is still out there somewhere. We have
decided to stop any traffic to and from Kel, until it is put away.
A strange rumor is circulating in the village,
someone has been heard saying to the guards about curious happenings in
the Alchemist's house. We believe that whatever the Alchemist is doing
is good for the village and hence are not paying attention to idle rumors.
Cut off human parts are stored there, how preposterous, if you believe
the elf who has originated the rumors. We are going to take steps to stop
the rumors. The said elf was last seen in company of a shady goblin, how's
that for credibility, we ask you?
Lyssa, the healer is busy tending to the Lady
Tannae, who was gravely wounded in the attack on her life. The new deputy
to the sheriff has gone missing somewhere in the slums. We fear for the
safety of the brave man. Goffin, his trusted lieutenant has reported that
he has asked the legendary Idon Sturmheart to help the deputy in his tasks.
Apparently, the great dwarf has returned to his abode. We hope, that he
has accomplished what was expected of him, and we await the return of the
deputy.
A heinous murder committed on the outskirts
of the village has been brought to our notice. Investigations will have
to take a backseat, as the sheriff is busy planning the defenses of the
village.
Strange things have been reported in the maze
surrounding the Kel keep, but no one knows what or why, soldiers have said,
they can hear voices while going through the maze, it regular intervals,
maybe once the Baron is back, it will be investigated.
The magical artifacts known as the Eighth
Paladin Raiment, were seen in hands of some of the strangers in Kel, who
have vanished from the face of the earth. We believe that, they were the
ones who originally brought the curse to this village. May Dargotten take
them to the ever-glowing fires.
More and more travelers have started to appear
in Kel, now that the mist has lifted, albeit temporarily. We think, they
will benefit themselves and Kel, from their stay here. Everything else
is fine here. The farms are running well, the sentries are alert, and of
course we are waiting for this curse, which has been lain upon our village,
to go away permanently.

Tegn -
To the West of Tegn was a large Forest
known as the Miserwoods. This Forest was largely unexplored by Tegnites.
It was dangerous and many of those who went in to have a look around did
not return. Poisonous spiders of amazing size abounded. A tribe
of golden Misharr lived in the Forest. These fierce and
primitive Misharr, known as the Baphets, used the poison of the spiders
to paralyze their victims before eating them. Farther on in the Forest
lived a group of Humans, known as the Treewalkers. Long ago, an Elf
taught these Humans how to grow the trees to form habitations.
The Children of Faeterna was very powerful in the Treewalker village.
But there was trouble in the Treewalker village since the head of the Children
of Faeterna, the Keeper Mara, fell deathly ill following a visit to Tegn.
She journeyed there to use the Library and the wisdom of the Phrenians
to find the legendary Fountain of Brewresha. The song that is sung there
determines the shape of reality itself.
In Tegn, there have been many strange events.
Recently a plague of spirits attacked the city and the gates of Tegn and
of the Great Library were closed for a time. Under the Library in
the catacombs, Master Arbrite took a party to prevent the Lady Ruathra
from using a dark spell to give her eternal life. But when Master
Arbrite’s party arrived, they found the Lady dead, a demon loose, and magic
being worked from 300 years ago to stop the spirits from plaguing Tegn.
At the center of all this chaos was a man known as Henryk Black.
The Red Enclave and the Syrithians are fighting an enemy determined to
destroy the peace and prosperity of Tegn. In the conflict, two young
women of Tegn were lost in the past, in a time when users of
magic were tortured and executed far more commonly than now.
The nobility of Tegn were always an interesting
subject for the gossipmongers. Recently, a grandson of the Lord Darshallon
was seen in the company of a stranger to the city, a woman. Sources
suggest that the Lady Syrella flew into a rage when this was told to her.
Some said that Lady Syrella was keeping company with Roderick Tegn-Adcock,
who has been the favored of the Baron Tegn. A young man was recently
seen lugging the harp of the young Lady Irina Darshallon, the sister of
Syrella. His background was unknown. He met Troilus Tegn-Adcock
and the two enjoyed sparring with rapiers.
A few malcontents who called themselves the
Brotherhood of the Broken Wing, have been ranting in the Taverns about
the nobility and learned classes in Tegn interfering with their freedom.
Undoubtedly, such groundless talk will die out as it is obviously the imagination
of a few ale soaked individuals.

Tiangchou -
Adventure is a plenty in the Outer Rings
of Tiangchou. There are numerous inns that host Gladiator fights,
which are becoming popular for visitors and locals alike. Merchants are
cashing in on the foolish, and the traders that pass through don't seem
to stay very long. Visitors best be on guard lest they part with more than
they bargained with.
It seems the travelers on the outskirts of
town should be cautious. At night, whispers in the dark tell of a
creature that flys. It only comes in the night, when the moon slips behind
the clouds. Noone has seen what it is; rumors will be sure
to start soon.
