State of the Realms Report
by Snog's International Reporting Agency (S.I.R.A.)

Trouble with Snakes
As reported in the last issue,  the goblins are preparing for war. They are even creating new war machines to aid in their goals. The goblin merchants are making further in roads in there search for weapons. The merchants seem to have captured the attention of several members of other races as well. NO deals have been made final as of yet though.

As for the jungle cult of the Serpent, they seem to be forging an alliance with the dark one's forces. This does not bode well for goblins of a goodly nature. Nor the elves for that matter!

You'd think we goblins would have enough problems without war, seeing how large cat packs hunt down members of our society. Odd visitors have also been seen in  some of the smaller villages as well. Yes, Mirg is definitely a country in the midst of it all... for good or bad!

The Capitol of Korresh
Ah, the land of many happenings! Where to start? Yes, well might as well start from the source!

Rumors abound about the emperors sickness, making several of the more powerful houses begin preparations for the time of his death. They, the houses that is have begun building armies of there own. The church is also building an army, but for a different reason. The church has declared war on wizards, a very sketchy plan to say the least. However some good is happening there, a lowly baker spends his time helping orphans, and young men defend the rights of night walkers against the upper echelons of nobility.

Magic on Trial
As reported before, Kel is a very dangerous town for being so small. The Traphar was killed by what appears to be the reemergence of an evil text, and a very magical text it would appear to be. The town is in an up roar after the most exciting day in Kel, at least that's what some are calling it. The day had started with a rampaging woolly oiliphant and then the murder, not to mention the grass dogs, the excommunication's, and the goblin encampment.

My question is how is the church going to react to all the magic
schools and guilds here? How big of a battle field is Kel going to end up as? I have a feeling that they are going to need a few more heroes here.

A Goblin Takeover?
Peaceful Tegn, the city of music and learning. No grand excitement here.... yet! Although like Kel there is a lot of magic here, how will the church react? It also seems that the goblins are invading this town as well, they seem to have the help of a Misharr as well. Hmmm.... This could be very interesting.

Nutty Elves
As usual the elves still have no clue as to what's headed their way. They continue to make marry, ignoring the vileness that has begun to rear it's ugly head once again. Although there have been several spottings of  crazed elves in the woods. Were they driven to madness by goblins or the dark side itself....... I guess only time will tell.

Sand, Sand, Sand, Sand......
Tahnn still seems to be virtually untouched by the hand of the Darkone, but looks can be deceiving. This slumbering country is do for some trouble.

Monsters in the Mountains
On the surface the Helg roam closer and closer to the city of Korgarr,  bolstered by the Darkone I'm sure. Whole caravans have been whiped out, by the Helg? No one knows.

Rumors abound about the dekrackch still, however he remains at large. I wonder if he has anything to do with the unprecedented amount of Delfae visiting the Seer as of late. Again no one's sure. What would the church say or try and do if they only knew, about the hordes of magic users that Korgarr harbors?

Until the next issue, this is Snog signing off.

The Traphar is Dead
by Mellusi

Traphar Narcellion of Kel, the village's ranking religious guide, was assassinated by magical forces.  His murder is still under investigation,
but reliable sources claim only a magician could pass through the Church's and Traphar's defenses without detection.  The Brotherhood of Mages is
blamed for this action by the Church of Telgard in Maston.
Evil Forces in Korresh?
by Rumier Chisme

An inside source at the Agricultural Department of the University of Tegn confirmed the rumors about lost packages of precious herbs. These were to be examined and cultivated in the Botanical Gardens of the Institution, and due to their rareness the paying price was high. The Treasurer is yanking his hair out, literally, said our source, while people talk of demons, undead warriors, and dark mages. Speaking of the latter, where are the good guys when you need them? The security chief at the University finds the tales hard to believe save for the fact that some of his men are starting to go nuts after what they saw.

Seasons come, seasons go, people. And each social season brings a whole lot of events. Rumor has it that a human merchant's son has escaped with a female elf, if you can believe it. Hopefully no ill will stem from it. The Emperor's new wardrobe shows some desert
influence, as I witnessed at the last audience, but in a tasteful manner, to my surprise. The next Presentation for the sons and daughters of the courtiers will surely reflect this trend. One high ranking minister has a mistress and his wife knows. As she has the money, the scandal may blow...

Telgard Jokes

A popular goblin joke: "Whats the difference between loading a cart with bricks and loading a cart with elves?"

"I don't know, what?"

"You can use a pitchfork to load elves!"

Silence
by an anonymous reporter

Although and attempt was made to compile  an update from the Elven Kingdom of Lirynn, little information was forth coming in time for inclusion into this issue of the Tribune. It appears that the elves have fallen into silence. Either that, or they are too scared to speak to anyone outside their woodland borders.
