The following is a description of the gods of Telgard. They are a recognized group worldwide and all have their various holidays and services.

Dargotten - Known as the Allfather, he is the creator and the most powerful of the gods. He is on a journey into eternity and we await his return. While it is essential that we worship him, he will never respond to our prayers until his return. His holiday is known as Journeystart and is marked by a symbolic parade led by the Matr of the Church of Telgard. Journeys that start on this day are blessed. Many quests begin then, for that reason.

Bewresha - The Mother, She who planted the Tree. The Church of Telgard was established mainly in reverence of her. She is the symbol of the music and pattern of life, and as such, those who choose to worship her spend their lives in the contemplations of the miracles around them. She plays her harp which is carved from wood given her by Faeterna, sitting under her boughs, and while she plays, reality continues. She has no single holiday, per se, as every day rings with her blessing.

Faeterna - The Tree of Life. Provider of all. The Races grew as fruit from her limbs and were given life to walk the Kingdoms of Telgard. Her holidays are Newday and the Harvest. Newday marks the beginning of the planting seasons, and after an early morning service, the cities are evacuated as everyone aids in the sowing of the fields. The Harvest is a two week event, beginning when the fields are ready for harvesting. The first week is a week of labour, all are asked to participate in the reaping of the fields. The second week is one of celebration, where all enjoy the bounty through the charity of the Church. No one is turned from the table during that week.

Grytl - The Grey Lady. She who sits in the branches of the Tree. She waits for Bewresha to sleep, so she may snatch the harp of reality from her hands, thus bringing an end to all. While she waits, she feeds on the fruit of the Tree, and thus, we mortals are called back to the upper branches from whence we came. She is a recognized part of life and as such, her holiday falls in the middle of winter, when Bewresha is most drowsy, and the chance for the ending is the greatest. Those mortals who pass away on her day, are given special recognition in the Scrolls of Grytl, which are kept in a tomb under the Great Cathedral at Maston.

Wrythanistan - The essence of magic in Telgard. He who was not made by Dargotten, but existed on the moon. When the Allfather departed, Wrythanistan plunged to the ground and his impact was such that he vaporized. His essence now makes up part of the atmosphere and allows such manipulation to cause effects not ruled by the laws of physics. He is a recognized power, but as he was not created by Dargotten, he is not celebrated by the Church of Telgard. He is viewed instead more along the lines of a force of nature.

H'roathyll - The Wyrm, Entrophy. He was not originally evil, but the temptation resulting form Wrythanistan's fall corrupted him, and he became the Wyrm, using the powers Dargotten gave him with the powers of Wrythanistan to shape the world so that he may rule over it. He and the other gods do not conflict directly; instead, they move through the intelligent races. When the powers of light gain control, the Wyrm waits and festers. When the powers of darkness increase, corruption increases, and light bides its time in hope. Neither the gods nor the wyrm would ever fully win by themselves; Brewesha and the others await Dargotten, who has the power to redo everything; H'roathyll created the Dragons to aid him. Unless Dargotten returns, success rests in controlling the Dragons. There is a holiday of the Church that involves the Wyrm, but it enacts the driving out of H'roathyll and does not worship him directly.
