MINOTAURS IN GENERAL:
Physical
Appearance: On average, Minotaurs are the tallest creatures in Telgard,
ranging up to seven 1/2 feet tall, and built solidly. Female ss'tiss are sometimes
taller than the average Minotaur, but this is not very common and the male ss'tiss are of
course at least a foot shy of average Minotaur height. Minotaur fur is usually
some shade of brown from brown-black to nearly-tan, and they have
brown eyes. Both sexes have horns. Male minotaurs have a mane that
stretches down their back and around their neck, while female minotaurs
do not. Both have three-fingered hands, multi-tonal voices, and
cloven hooves.
Minotaurs
are an itinerant race on Telgard; ever since the disaster that drove
them from their homeland, they have been wandering from town to
town and village to village. Only the elves have ever closed their
borders to the minotaurs, and that was when the elves weren't speaking
to anybody.
Minotaurs
are a peaceful race with a social structure curiously made up of
the kingdom they were born in and the minotaur social structure
that forbids bloodshed and weapons.
MINOTAUR
PCs:
Minotaurs
are excellent bards; they have a multi-tonal voice that lets them
replicate whole choirs at once. Their memories are excellent (see
the Racial Skill) and they get a free skill slot in a performance
skill of their choice. They are, however, bound by a strict social
code forbidding touching any weapon of war. While some minotaurs
escape this by using hunting weapons or staves, these minotaurs
are looked upon with abhorrence by their kin, who take the code
to mean that violence is anathema.

MINOTAURS
AND THE OTHER RACES:
Minotaurs
are enigmatic about their opinion of other races. On the one hand,
none have the history and knowledge that Minotaurs have; on the
other, Minotaurs are intimately aware that they are guests in Telgard
and that that guestright can swiftly be revoked. Thus minotaurs
tend to treat all races equally, aside from personal preferences.
